Requirements
Must:
- At least 6 years of relevant experience in designing and developing comprehensive big data solutions.
- Proven experience in creating and developing big data solutions using Spark, Scala, AWS Glue, Lambda, SNS/SQS, and CloudWatch is essential.
- Strong application development expertise in Scala and Python.
- Extensive experience with SQL databases, preferably Redshift.
- Familiarity with Snowflake is a plus.
- Expertise with ETL/ELT processes and frameworks is mandatory.
- Solid understanding of AWS cloud services, including Lambda, Glue, S3, EMR, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, and Redshift.
- Proficient in SQL and experienced with relational databases like Oracle, MySQL, and PostgreSQL.
- Skilled in Python for data engineering tasks and automation.
- Knowledge of shell scripting within Linux/Unix environments.
- Experience with Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Background in Financial Services is required.
- Nice to have experience with Machine Learning models, including regression and validation.
Responsibilities
- Design and construct scalable data pipelines and architectures for data processing.
- Develop ETL/ELT processes utilizing AWS Glue, EMR, and Redshift to prepare data for analysis.
- Integrate data from diverse sources and maintain efficient data models for both storage and analysis.
- Implement data quality checks, validation processes, and security measures to ensure data integrity and compliance.
- Monitor and enhance the performance of data processing jobs and databases.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and comprehend data requirements effectively.
- Maintain and operationalize existing data solutions to ensure ongoing functionality.
