Requirements
Must:
- At least 5 years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles
- A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience with AWS
- At least 1 year of direct experience with AWS GovCloud
- Proven track record in deploying and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code tools, especially Terraform
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS
- Proficient in scripting languages, including Python and Bash
- Understanding of government compliance standards like FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST 800-53
- Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly GitLab
- Knowledge of monitoring and logging solutions, including AWS CloudWatch
- Familiarity with identity and access management in cloud environments
- Skilled in Git and version control best practices
- Experience with automated testing frameworks
- Bachelors degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Experience with SPLUNK is a plus
- Experience with XACTA 360 is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and implement cloud infrastructure for development, testing, staging, and production environments in AWS GovCloud
- Construct and manage CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls using GitLab
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform
- Set up monitoring, logging, and alert systems utilizing AWS CloudWatch and related tools
- Ensure ongoing adherence to FedRAMP, FISMA, and NIST 800-53 compliance standards
- Plan and design disaster recovery and business continuity strategies
- Provide training and knowledge transfer to development and operations teams
- Promote continuous improvement in cloud operations and security protocols
Description
At Digital Charter, we are a federal IT and AI systems integrator that supports critical programs across various U.S. federal agencies, including the Army, FDA, NRC, and USCG. We are looking for two Senior DevSecOps Engineers to spearhead the development of a new cloud-native application within an AWS GovCloud framework for a federal client. This role offers a direct impact on significant missions, is part of a dynamic team devoted to modern DevSecOps and cloud-native architecture, and presents a performance period through the end of the year, with a strong likelihood of extension.
