Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline
- 5 years of hands-on experience as a Data Engineer, Data Platform Engineer, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar roles in hybrid environments
- 4 years of expertise designing, constructing, and enhancing large-scale data pipelines
- 4 years of experience with big data tools, including Spark, Kafka, PySpark, and Databricks
- 4 years of working knowledge in pipeline and workflow management tools such as Airflow, and with stream-processing frameworks like Spark-streaming
- 4 years of proficiency in object-oriented and functional scripting languages, especially Python, along with CI/CD practices using Jenkins
- 4 years of experience in creating monitoring dashboards, specifically with Grafana
- 4 years of performing change data capture (CDC) streaming for NoSQL databases
- 4 years of experience conducting root cause analysis and developing processes to address business questions and identify improvement opportunities
- 4 years of experience with message queuing, stream processing, and scalable data storage solutions
Responsibilities
- Design and contribute to distributed data processing systems focused on modular architecture, reusability, and resilience
- Collaborate on design evaluations and provide architectural insights to enhance the data platform and facilitate new analytics and machine learning applications
- Develop core framework components for data quality, observability, and recovery, promoting self-service capabilities among teams
- Standardize and implement strategies for incremental data processing, maintaining consistency, idempotency, and scalability
- Create and execute schema evolution strategies, metadata-driven processing, and lineage tracking to ensure compliance and traceability
- Optimize data storage formats, partitioning methods, and computing resource usage for efficient performance on a large scale
- Shape the technical roadmap by assessing new technologies and suggesting architectural enhancements aligned with long-term objectives
- Work closely with product, compliance, and platform teams to create reusable data interfaces and contract-driven ingestion frameworks
