Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
- In-depth technical expertise in enterprise networking, including routers, switches, firewalls, WAN technologies, and interconnectivity.
- Strong knowledge of internet circuits, high availability configurations, and enterprise networking concepts like LACP, BGP, and STP protocols.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of practical experience in network engineering roles.
- Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation.
- Capability to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Some travel may be required.
- Familiarity with Palo Alto Networks, Cisco, and Fortinet technologies is desirable.
- Experience with networking in public cloud environments is a plus.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Highly organized with outstanding documentation and communication skills.
- Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards is preferred.
- Preference for implementing infrastructure as code.
Responsibilities
- Configure, monitor, and maintain network hardware and software, including firewalls, routers, switches, and VPN solutions.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of networks across enterprise and client environments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve intricate network issues swiftly to minimize downtime.
- Document network configurations, changes, and procedures accurately and clearly.
- Build and sustain critical network monitoring infrastructure to support a large enterprise network.
- Collaborate with internal teams and clients to design and implement network solutions that align with business needs.
- Manage cloud/IaaS infrastructure as required.
- Oversee internet circuits and WAN connectivity to ensure high availability and redundancy.
- Conduct routine network health checks and manage capacity planning.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity efforts concerning network infrastructure.
- Participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation for critical network support.
