Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience in a related engineering field
- Minimum of 5 years of industry-relevant experience
- Capability to maintain and repair material handling systems or learn mechanical equipment operation
- Proficiency in CAD design software, including AutoCAD
-Experience with Dematic RCD and CET Designer Software (Maestro) is highly preferred
- Proven communication skills, adaptability, and a collaborative spirit within a professional team
- Ability to perform under pressure, meet stringent deadlines, and maintain composure
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to various customer or Dematic locations
- Ability to represent the organization effectively as both an internal and potentially key external contact

Responsibilities
- Complete the mechanical engineering scope for assigned modernization and retrofit projects
- Conduct independent research to resolve uncertainties that arise during the projects lifespan
- Work collaboratively with Project Managers, Controls Engineers, and Installation resources to accurately design and order equipment using Dematics application tools and processes
- Lead technical design reviews with colleagues and subject matter experts
- Create and finalize engineering drawings, including equipment layouts, structural and guarding configurations, pneumatic designs, and egress and permitting sets
- Troubleshoot equipment on-site as necessary
- Manage project performance, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, quality standards, and risk management
