Requirements

Must:
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics or a related discipline. - Required Experience: - Proficiency with querying languages, databases, and business intelligence tools such as Snowflake, SQL Server Management Studio, Power BI, Sigma, Tableau, or equivalent tools. - A minimum of 5 years of experience in data analysis, reporting, analytics, insurance, actuarial, or a related field.

Responsibilities

- Data Expertise: - Comprehend the various data sources available for analysis and identify the most suitable sources for each situation. - Understand the data within each source, including its opportunities and limitations. - Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and conduct user acceptance testing for new data tables and needs to support reporting and analysis. - Train teammates on querying techniques to facilitate report, model, and dashboard creation. - Data Analytics: - Conduct analysis across the analytics maturity model stages: Descriptive, Diagnostic, Predictive, and Prescriptive. - Analyze products and related factors, including claims experience, profit margins, administrative costs, rate adequacy, sales, provider reimbursements, network value, and competitive positioning. - Ensure that all analytical solutions maintain consistency, accuracy, usability, and scalability while adhering to branding and formatting standards. - Collaborate with other teams to accommodate data analytics requirements, defining the purpose and scope of analyses, performing the analyses, and communicating outcomes. - Support data needs and analyses related to the strategic planning process. - Analyze various business relationships and partnerships, focusing on key experiences. - Evaluate historical trends such as claim utilization, fee inflation, and premium and enrollment variations across products and segments. - Develop solutions to streamline data analysis to effectively and efficiently meet departmental and company-wide data needs. - External Awareness: - Identify and assess internal and external factors influencing the statistics used in data analysis, forecasting, and reporting. - Stay informed about analytical tools and concepts available for necessary analytics and recognize their relevance to our business, including complex/big data and cloud database software. - Keep abreast of market conditions, competitive insights, and political factors that may affect our organizational goals and interests, communicating key developments to relevant stakeholders and utilizing information appropriately in analyses and collaborations.
