Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, with a minimum of 7 years of professional experience in application development or equivalent practical expertise
- Advanced proficiency in:
- SQL and relational database design
- Java/JavaScript/HTML/XML/CSS
- Code development tools and version control: GIT/Bamboo/Jira/Java IDEs
- Common web technologies and frameworks
- Spring framework and associated components
- Experience in designing and developing applications using modern programming languages such as Java, C#, or Python, along with databases and SQL.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across both technical and non-technical teams.
- Bachelors degree preferred.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) is a plus.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines is desirable.
- Knowledge of healthcare or insurance industry practices is a benefit.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and successful implementation of scalable, secure, and HIPAA-compliant software solutions.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to convert intricate business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical specifications.
- Exhibit initiative and excel in a dynamic, fast-paced setting, effectively managing deliverables with minimal supervision and strict deadlines.
- Guide and participate in estimation practices, including story pointing and backlog refinement, to facilitate predictable delivery and informed planning.
- Mentor junior developers and engage in code reviews, architecture discussions, and adherence to established processes, guidelines, and best practices.
- Assess and incorporate third-party technologies when relevant.
- Advocate for modern engineering practices consistent with company objectives, including automation, DevOps methodologies, CI/CD pipeline development, and infrastructure as code (IaC) to expedite delivery and enhance reliability.
- Take part in cloud migration or modernization initiatives as required.
- Ensure the applications performance, security, and compliance through proactive monitoring and testing.
- Develop and maintain clear, comprehensive technical documentation, encompassing system architecture, APIs, deployment processes, and other systems and process information for knowledge sharing and onboarding purposes.
- Contribute to the design and evolution of system architecture through collaboration on technical decisions at the department and team levels, ensuring alignment with enterprise standards for scalability and long-term maintainability.
- Provide on-call support as necessary.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned.
