Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer science, software engineering, information technology, or a related field
- Over 3 years of practical experience with the Boomi platform and related integration tools
- Previous work experience in a consulting firm or relevant industry sectors (e.g., retail, healthcare, manufacturing, financial services)
- Minimum 1 year of experience with other integration platforms such as MuleSoft, IBM WebSphere, TIBCO, Workato, Google Apigee, or Azure Logic Apps
- Strong grasp of enterprise integration design patterns and API protocols (REST/SOAP), including XML, JSON, and data mapping
- Skilled in all core Boomi components, including connectors (Database, FTP, Web Services, ERP specific), process building, and effective error handling
- Proficient in writing custom Groovy and JavaScript code within the Boomi environment for complex tasks and data manipulation
- Familiarity with EDI standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT) and implementing EDI solutions, including common documents (810, 850, 856, etc.)
- Experience with relational databases and strong SQL abilities
- Strong understanding of SDLC methodologies
- Boomi Professional Level Certifications - Developer Associate & Professional
- At least one certification in a cloud technology platform such as AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Spring Boot, JavaScript, or Python
- Ability to travel up to 50% based on client projects and industry needs
Responsibilities
- Design complex integration solutions utilizing industry best practices and various integration design patterns (e.g., publish/subscribe, request/reply, aggregator)
- Develop and implement solutions that conform to established enterprise architecture frameworks
- Design, construct, and manage APIs using API Management tools to ensure secure and efficient inter-system communication (REST/SOAP)
- Execute and oversee Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) processes, including the configuration of trading partners, profiles, and standards (ANSI X12, EDIFACT)
- Create, test, and deploy integration processes across different environments (Test, UAT, Production), managing the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Monitor integration performance, proactively identify and troubleshoot issues, and provide expert-level post-deployment support
- Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation for designs, configurations, data mappings, and architectural decisions
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data flows and adhere to industry best practices in integration development
- Take ownership of assigned integration projects, manage expectations, and mentor junior team members toward successful project outcomes
- Employ AI features (e.g., Boomi GPT, MuleSoft Vibes) to streamline development, automate documentation, and resolve issues
