Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future
- Active TS/SCI security clearance
- Minimum of 5 years of technical experience in cyber-defense or cybersecurity fields (e.g., engineering, networking, systems integration, solutions, etc.)
- Experience in at least 2 of the following areas:
- Container or virtual environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, VMware, AWS)
- In-band and out-of-band test access points for network traffic collection (e.g., Gigamon)
- Data storage solutions (e.g., NFS storage, distributed storage, Ceph Ruck storage)
- Data-analysis toolsets (e.g., Elastic Search, Logstash, Kibana, Splunk)
- Agile frameworks for software development
- Linux operating systems (e.g., Red Hat, Kali)
- Windows operating systems
- Network infrastructure
- Security applications (e.g., SOAR, SIEM, IDS)
Responsibilities
- Serve as a Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to protect critical mission systems
- Lead and guide team members towards shared objectives while collaborating with engineers
- Apply extensive knowledge to tackle complex and diverse work assignments
- Develop methodologies for DCO and present innovative solutions to challenges
- Contribute to deliverables and performance metrics as necessary
- Consult on IT and cybersecurity architecture and technologies
- Analyze cyber key terrain to gain a comprehensive understanding of the mission and its associated threats
- Provide advice on the technical design and implementation of DCO capabilities to safeguard against cyber threats
- Research and recommend cybersecurity technologies based on mission requirements and current threats
- Oversee the design, implementation, configuration, and optimization of cyber defense technology
- Create documentation such as SOPs, checklists, implementation guides, and architecture diagrams to support DCO initiatives
- Modify technologies to align with mission architecture and the evolving threat landscape
