I am seeking candidates to meet one of the following experience profiles:
1. You should have over 10 years of experience in technical consulting, client problem solving, and architecting/designing security solutions with a strong emphasis on Microsoft technologies (like Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint/Servers, Security Copilot, and Defender for XDR). This experience must involve leadership roles responsible for project scope, pricing, and delivery, while managing multiple proposals and projects simultaneously.
2. Alternatively, you may have 6 years of technical or leadership experience in enterprise security operations or infrastructure operations, along with an additional 3 years in consulting leadership roles.
Additional requirements include:
- Willingness to travel up to 50% on average, depending on your work and the clients and sectors you serve.
- A BA/BS Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Information Security, Engineering, or Information Technology.
- Limited visa sponsorship may be available.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager for Microsoft Security Defense & Resilience (D&R), I expect you to take the lead with our clients, addressing their security operations needs specifically related to Sentinel, Defender, and XDR health, as well as guiding them on their security journey on the Microsoft platform. Your responsibilities will include:
- Advising clients on strategy, design, implementation, migration, and operation of Microsoft Sentinel, Defender for Endpoint/Servers, Security Copilot, and Defender for XDR solutions.
- Assisting clients with the design and implementation of other Microsoft security technologies such as Intune and Purview.
- Cultivating client relationships by establishing yourself as an independent professional who delivers outstanding results.
- Serving as a subject matter expert (SME) on Microsoft Security solutions for senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Leading Microsoft security teams at industry-leading clients in deploying and advising on Sentinel/Defender/XDR/Security Copilot services.
- Overseeing multiple Microsoft security D&R/M365 security projects in a project leader and program manager capacity, supervising onsite and offshore engineers and architects.
- Acting as the primary client interface, building rapport and trust.
- Reviewing all project deliverables including assessment reports, system designs, architectures, and risk/security recommendations.
- Ensuring strong knowledge of Microsoft Security–Defense and Resilience solutions, executing engagements during assessment, design, and implementation phases.
- Conducting technical health checks for security platforms/environments prior to wider deployments.
- Ensuring support for Microsoft Security-Defense and Resilience cyber services and resolving service-related issues through research, troubleshooting, and vendor collaboration.
- Leading teams in troubleshooting system-level problems in diverse network environments and documenting technical issues, client communications, and resolutions.
- Supporting Deloitte MXDR/Cyber Operate teams as necessary on client calls.
- Leading eminence activities such as creating whitepapers and points of view on Microsoft Security D&R technologies.
- Guiding talent processes such as recruiting and coaching employees in the Microsoft Security D&R area.

Compensation for this role considers a range of factors, including skill sets, experience, training, certifications, and organizational needs. The anticipated range is $175,300 - $322,900, and there may be eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program based on performance.
