Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree required
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in administering secure cloud infrastructure in compliance-heavy environments
- Proven track record in implementing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at scale and managing production cloud systems with a strong reliability focus
- Practical experience with Linux administration, aligned with RHCSA standards
- Hands-on expertise in Kubernetes operations and deployments, aligned with CKA/CKAD standards
- Advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Advanced understanding of Cloud Infrastructure
- Legal authorization to work in the United States without needing employer sponsorship
- Active TS clearance with the capability to obtain an SCI
- Availability to work on-site in Arlington, VA, four days a week
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain secure cloud solutions across multiple classification levels
- Manage compute, storage, networking, VMs, and containers/Kubernetes
- Construct and operate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) at scale using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or ARM to automate and standardize deployments
- Monitor and enhance availability, performance, security posture, capacity, and cost with enterprise observability and optimization techniques
- Ensure compliance and accreditation readiness by collaborating with security teams on RMF, NIST, STIGs, DoD 8140, vulnerability remediation, and ATO activities
- Lead troubleshooting and ensure resilience for mission-critical systems, which includes backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity planning, along with supporting 24/7 operations/on-call rotation
- Propel modernization efforts through cloud migrations, DevSecOps integration, privileged access/zero trust controls, stakeholder coordination, documentation, and mentorship of junior staff
