Requirements
Must:
- I am looking for someone who can successfully fulfill job responsibilities within a hybrid work model, requiring US Tax professionals to be present in person 2 to 3 days per week.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a relevant field is essential.
- I require at least 5 years of experience in development, with a proven track record in designing, developing, and maintaining robust Python applications.
- Hands-on experience in web development using FastAPI, including Pydantic for data validation/schema definition is necessary.
- Strong skills in asynchronous and parallel programming, particularly with practical knowledge of asyncio, are critical.
- Experience in Agile environments and an understanding of core design patterns are needed.
- Proficiency in .NET Core, ASP.NET Core Web API, and familiarity with databases including SQL/NoSQL, Entity Framework 6+, is required.
- The ability to travel up to 10%, on average, is expected according to the work requirements and the clients and industries served.
- Limited sponsorship may be available.
- You should have one of the following active accreditations:
- Licensed CPA in the state of practice/primary office if eligible for CPA
- If not CPA eligible, a Licensed Attorney or an Enrolled Agent
- Additionally, relevant technology certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, CRISC, CISSP, or various SAFe certifications are preferred.
Responsibilities

- Work both independently and collaboratively with team members.

- Design, develop, and support robust and scalable Python applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code adhering to best practices.
- Optimize code for performance and scalability, ensuring effective data handling.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Identify and resolve technical issues to ensure application reliability and performance.
- Create and maintain thorough documentation for code, processes, and workflows.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior developers, nurturing a collaborative and productive team environment.

The team I envision you will be joining is responsible for the design, development, and deployment of innovative enterprise technology, tools, and standardized processes to enhance tax service delivery. Our team's focus is on providing comprehensive, value-added, and efficient tax services to our clients. We comprise a dynamic group of professionals from diverse backgrounds, including tax technical, technology development, change management, and project management. Our team engages in a variety of initiatives that encompass process and tool development and implementation, including training development, engagement management, and tool design. The salary range for this position is $119,490 to $272,090, taking into account a variety of factors that influence compensation decisions, including skill sets, experience, training, licensure and certifications, and organizational needs. It is important to note that it is not common for individuals to be hired at or near the top of the salary range for their position, as compensation decisions depend on specific circumstances. You may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, which is subject to program rules, where any award is based on several factors, including both individual and organizational performance.
