Requirements
Must:
- Strong understanding and application of engineering principles and problem-solving techniques
- Expertise in hardware design
- Capable of analyzing data and reaching accurate conclusions
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation abilities
- Experience with scripting, preferably in Python
- Familiarity with Intel-based architecture (preferred)
- Knowledge of storage devices including hard drives, SSDs, and DIMMs (preferred)
- Proficient in hardware, software, or operating systems environments (preferred)
- Networking skills (preferred)
- Proficiency in at least one of the following: C/C++, Java, or Python, and a willingness to learn across the technology stack
- At least 2 years of relevant experience with a Bachelors degree; or an advanced degree with no experience; or equivalent practical experience
Responsibilities
- Assist the hardware architecture team in delivering a high-quality and feature-rich storage appliance
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, manage, and resolve design issues for new products and ongoing market activities
- Conduct qualifications on hardware components such as drives, DIMMs, cables, switches, BIOS, firmware, drivers, and operating systems
- Execute laboratory operations to support performance testing, customer issue replication, network setup, and hardware component assessments
- Physically install and configure hardware in our labs located in Hopkinton and Franklin, Massachusetts
