Requirements
Must:
- 8 to 12 years of relevant experience with a bachelors degree or 6+ years with a masters degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, data science, or a related technical field
- Strong understanding of intricate system architectures, specifically the interactions among hardware, firmware, and operating system software
- Extensive knowledge of diagnostic methodologies and sustaining engineering principles, emphasizing enhancements in field serviceability and customer experience
- Proficiency in SQL and Python for data extraction, as well as Microsoft Excel and PowerBI for data analysis
- Capacity to convert raw field telemetry signals into actionable diagnostic measures and automated, closed-loop workflows
- Familiarity with PowerEdge hardware, iDRAC, and BIOS, alongside experience applying Machine Learning or statistical modeling for predictive failure analysis (desirable)
- Understanding of industry-standard telemetry and logging frameworks, plus product reliability engineering principles (desirable)
Responsibilities
- Analyze extensive, intricate datasets (telemetry, logs, alerts) from deployed systems to uncover critical and recurring failure trends
- Develop and implement diagnostic logic and algorithms within product architecture (firmware, software, and tools) for automatic detection, isolation, and potential self-healing of issues
- Propel Design for Diagnostics (D4D) feature requirements into next-generation products by defining necessary telemetry, instrumentation, and fault isolation techniques
- Collaborate with global teams (Product Engineering, Quality, Service) to ensure diagnostic solutions are seamlessly integrated into the complete product and service ecosystem
- Create comprehensive technical documentation for automated diagnostic programs, procedures, and system specifications
