Requirements
Must:
- Active Epic Certification or Accreditation in relevant Core application required.
- Strong understanding of IT principles, software development, and system analysis, typically demonstrated by a Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Extensive experience in healthcare IT environments and robust knowledge of clinical information systems, clinical informatics, and data management, generally shown through at least 5 years of relevant experience in healthcare IT or Epic systems.
- Proven success in information systems implementation, development, and support within a large-scale healthcare organization.
- ITIL Foundation certification (preferred).
- Active Epic Certification, Accreditation, or Proficiency in related applications (preferred).
- Significant experience with clinical information systems, typically shown through at least 5-7 years of relevant experience (preferred).
- Demonstrated experience as a major participant in EHR configuration (preferred).
- Experience with online scheduling design and implementation (preferred).
Responsibilities
- Design, build, configure, test, and maintain clinical information systems focused on patient registration, scheduling, billing, and throughput.
- Act as a liaison between business operations and service providers, internal IT, system users, and vendors to resolve issues within project objectives.
- Provide remote and in-person support to end-users, monitoring, investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving incoming tickets.
- Coordinate system fixes and changes with software vendors and deploy application changes alongside the training team and operations.
- Create test scripts, timelines, and plans for application and workflow modifications and perform corresponding testing.
- Collaborate with technical teams to identify and address infrastructure-related issues affecting clinical applications.
- Offer ongoing support for end-user clinical information systems during upgrades, new releases, and requested changes, adhering to outlined ITIL processes.
- Assist with other Epic modules as necessary and provide backup support during peak times or staffing shortages.
- Participate in special projects and other related duties as assigned.
