Requirements
Must:
- Strong background in electrical or computer engineering with a solid understanding of server architecture
- Proven experience in hardware design, analysis, and debugging of complex printed circuit boards (PCBAs) alongside knowledge of power, mechanical, and thermal constraints
- Proficiency in designing PCBAs utilizing PCIe Gen 4 or higher technology, or equivalent high-speed serial design experience
- Experience collaborating with global teams, including Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) and Joint Design Manufacturer (JDM) partners
- History of working within cross-functional engineering teams
- Typically requires 5 to 12+ years of related experience in a professional role with a Bachelors degree; or 8+ years with a Masters degree; or 5+ years with a PhD; or equivalent experience
- Familiarity with simulation for PCB design
Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership to a project team working on advanced server and storage solutions, including AI servers for training leading AI models
- Develop project architecture and concepts for servers and storage, collaborating with Product Management and Marketing for requirements alignment
- Conduct feasibility studies, define architecture, and outline design constraints, while documenting key risks
- Author and coordinate the development of concept specifications and design guidelines
- Exhibit excellent communication skills for requirements discussions and deliver technology updates to various Dell EMC product groups and development teams
