Data Scientist - Demand, Pricing & Inventory

- Develop and maintain sales forecasting models at SKU and category levels. - Leverage historical trends, seasonality, and promotions to enhance forecast precision. - Collaborate with business teams to translate their requirements into effective forecasting solutions. - Assist in pricing analysis by evaluating costs, market competition, and product performance. - Create and test straightforward pricing models that meet margin and inventory objectives. - Explore inventory patterns and shelf-life data to minimize shrinkage and optimize stock levels. - Build tools to identify overstock risks and suggest timely interventions. - Examine the impact of promotions on sales and profit margins using both historical and current data. - Support the identification of timing and product selections for future promotional activities. - Design dashboards and reports utilizing tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Python Dash. - Present data summaries in a clear, actionable format for non-technical stakeholders. - Participate in initiatives exploring machine learning for demand forecasting, pricing, and inventory enhancements. - Engage with category managers, sourcing, marketing, and supply chain teams to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
