Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Data Science, Statistics, Math, Computer Science, or a similar discipline.
- 3–5 years of experience in data analysis, ideally within retail, wholesale, or supply chain environments.
- Proficiency in statistical modeling techniques such as time series and regression analysis.
- Strong SQL skills with the ability to handle large datasets effectively.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools like Power BI or Tableau.
- A curious mindset, excellent collaboration skills, and the ability to convey insights clearly to non-technical audiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain sales forecasting models at SKU and category levels.
- Leverage historical trends, seasonality, and promotions to enhance forecast precision.
- Collaborate with business teams to translate their requirements into effective forecasting solutions.
- Assist in pricing analysis by evaluating costs, market competition, and product performance.
- Create and test straightforward pricing models that meet margin and inventory objectives.
- Explore inventory patterns and shelf-life data to minimize shrinkage and optimize stock levels.
- Build tools to identify overstock risks and suggest timely interventions.
- Examine the impact of promotions on sales and profit margins using both historical and current data.
- Support the identification of timing and product selections for future promotional activities.
- Design dashboards and reports utilizing tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Python Dash.
- Present data summaries in a clear, actionable format for non-technical stakeholders.
- Participate in initiatives exploring machine learning for demand forecasting, pricing, and inventory enhancements.
- Engage with category managers, sourcing, marketing, and supply chain teams to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
