Requirements
Must:
- I seek strong practical experience with imaging, PACS, and DICOM, as this is central to the role.
- You should be an outstanding algorithm developer, especially in imaging, image processing, and machine learning (ML).
- Exceptional skills in C++ (performance-oriented), Python, Node.js, and REST API development are necessary.
- Comfort working with structured data formats like JSON and XML is expected.
- Experience in designing and optimizing deterministic algorithms is important.
- Familiarity with GitHub and collaborative version control is preferred.
- I appreciate experience working with external engineering firms as an extension of our team.
- A startup mentality is desired: resourcefulness, self-direction, and comfort with uncertainty are key.
Responsibilities
- I will have you responsible for algorithm development (medical image processing and ML) and application development (both backend and frontend).
- You will build core software that integrates with PACS systems and DICOM viewers.
- I expect you to design and optimize deterministic algorithms for clinical reliability.
- Collaboration with our CTO and the extended engineering team (including vendors) to influence architecture and product direction will be required.
- You will need to demonstrate expertise in writing high-quality code and developing algorithms in C++ and Python (preferably).
- Developing REST APIs and backend services in Node.js (preferably) and working with JSON data flows will be your responsibility.
- I need you to write high-performance C++ code for imaging and algorithm-intensive components.
- You will push clean, tested code to GitHub to help maintain our efficient workflows.
- You'll work in a fast-moving environment where you’ll take on diverse roles.
