Requirements

Must:
- Proven experience in cloud computing environments with an in-depth understanding of cloud architecture principles across multiple platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, or Rackspace. - Hands-on expertise with virtualization technologies such as VMware and OpenStack; containerization tools like Docker; orchestration platforms including Kubernetes; and automation frameworks such as Terraform and Ansible. - Solid knowledge of web services development utilizing REST APIs; familiarity with microservices architecture; experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell. - Strong background in IT infrastructure management covering operating systems (Linux/Windows), databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL/Oracle/MS SQL Server), networking (VPNs), and system security practices. - Experience working within Agile development environments employing DevOps methodologies for continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD). - Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra or MongoDB; knowledge of Internet of Things (IoT) integrations is desirable. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field; relevant certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect are a plus. - Excellent problem-solving abilities with the capacity to troubleshoot complex issues across diverse systems while upholding stringent standards of system hardening and security compliance.

Responsibilities

- Design, develop, and deploy cloud infrastructure solutions using platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, and Rackspace. - Implement and manage virtualization technologies including VMware, OpenStack, Docker, Kubernetes, and Citrix to enhance resource utilization and scalability. - Create automation scripts and configuration management tools using technologies like Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, and Bash scripting to streamline deployment procedures. - Construct and maintain web services and APIs using RESTful principles with programming languages such as JavaScript, Python, Java, Ruby on Rails, Node.js, Go, and .NET. - Collaborate within Agile teams to develop microservices architectures that support SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS models. - Ensure system security by applying hardening practices, configuring VPN, managing system updates, and adhering to best practices in system security. - Monitor the performance of cloud infrastructure utilizing tools such as Jenkins, Git for version control, Meraki for network management, and implement CI/CD pipelines for efficient software deployment. - Maintain thorough documentation concerning cloud architecture designs, deployment protocols, and operational procedures.
