Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret Clearance
- IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ CE preferred)
- At least 5-7 years of experience in system administration and/or release management
- Strong proficiency in Linux system administration (RHEL preferred)
- Experience overseeing software releases and deployment processes within enterprise settings
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, or similar)
- Solid understanding of system configuration management and coordinating environments
- Experience with patching, system monitoring, and performance tuning
- Knowledge of DoD security standards, including STIGs and RMF
- Capability to troubleshoot system and deployment challenges across various environments
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain Linux-based systems (RHEL or similar) in development, testing, and production settings
- Oversee and coordinate software releases and deployments, ensuring they adhere to program schedules and change control protocols
- Develop and uphold release management processes, including planning, scheduling, and executing releases
- Collaborate with development, QA, and DevSecOps teams for successful application and update deployments
- Ensure consistent system configurations across environments
- Monitor system performance, availability, and security, resolving issues promptly
- Support the implementation of CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Ensure compliance with DoD security requirements, including STIGs and RMF controls
- Conduct system patching, upgrades, and maintenance tasks
- Maintain release documentation, deployment protocols, and configuration records
- Assist in troubleshooting system and deployment issues across various environments
- Implement and uphold backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures
- Participate in Change Control Board (CCB) activities and support configuration management processes
- Provide after-hours support for production releases and system issues as necessary
- Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity teams to ensure system integrity and compliance
