Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret Clearance
- IAT Level II certification (CompTIA Security+ CE required)
- Over 3 years of experience in development or cybersecurity
- Proficient in Java (Spring Boot) and/or Angular (TypeScript)
- Skilled in secure coding and vulnerability resolution
- Familiar with tools such as Fortify or SonarQube
- Knowledgeable in AWS or other cloud environments
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, and encryption principles
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with DoD systems
- Familiarity with DISA STIGs and RMF
- Background in CI/CD security integration

Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain secure coding practices across IBS applications
- Assess and remediate findings from Fortify, SonarQube, and similar tools
- Collaborate with developers to incorporate security within the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
- Assist in the development of secure APIs and software components
- Aid in the enforcement of security measures within cloud environments (preferably AWS)
- Help secure containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Establish authentication, authorization, and encryption protocols
- Ensure secure configuration of cloud services and applications
- Identify and address vulnerabilities detected through scans
- Support adherence to DoD security requirements (STIGs, RMF)
- Contribute to security documentation and Authorization To Operate (ATO) support
- Assist with ongoing monitoring initiatives
- Incorporate security into continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines
- Facilitate automated security testing and validation processes
- Enhance security enforcement throughout the development pipeline
- Coordinate with development, DevSecOps, and Information Assurance teams
- Document security practices and configuration processes
- Offer guidance to developers on secure coding methodologies
Description
DecisionPoint Corporation is on the lookout for a Mid-Level Cloud Security Developer to aid our efforts in supporting the U.S. Transportation Command (USTRANSCOM) Integrated Booking System (IBS) program. In this role, we will focus on establishing secure development practices in cloud and modern application environments. The Cloud Security Developer will work in close partnership with our DevSecOps engineers, developers, and cybersecurity professionals to ensure that applications are securely built, deployed, and maintained throughout their lifecycle. Our technology stack includes Angular (TypeScript) and Java (Spring Boot), so familiarity with these technologies is essential.
