Requirements
Must:
- Over 7 years of demonstrated expertise in network engineering and architecture.
- Prior experience in the financial sector and within low-latency network settings is highly desirable.
- JNCIP certification is mandatory.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent experience will be taken into account.
- Profound understanding of Multicast routing protocols and methodologies specifically in a financial services context.
- Advanced knowledge of WAN virtualization techniques including MPLS/VRF and associated services like Multicast VRF (MVPN).
- Strong comprehension of the OSI model across all layers.
- Experience with optical networking technologies, including DWDM.
- Familiarity with network monitoring strategies and tools.
- Deep understanding of security fundamentals and network best practices.
- Proficient in Linux and Windows operating systems and their functionalities with network components.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, PERL, or TCL.
- Capability to work in a multi-vendor network environment.
- Excellent written communication and documentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of high-priority network projects across our organization.
- Assess business needs and convert them into scalable, secure technical network solutions.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, reference architectures, and functional specifications for the Engineering and Operations teams.
- Manage regulatory compliance documentation and address internal and external audit requests and inspections.
- Provide Level 3 support for network systems, addressing engineering-level issues.
- Facilitate Operational Readiness by creating and executing test plans, performing network assessments, and confirming production soundness.
- Evaluate new engineering designs to ensure alignment with our overall network strategy.
- Create and manage network risk logs and remediation plans.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and technological advancements in competitive infrastructure.
