Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a data scientist, data analyst, or engineer in the financial markets sector
- Proficient in Tableau dashboard development within Tableau Server environments
- Advanced skills in Python and SQL programming
- Strong knowledge of AWS environments
- Extensive experience in developing analytics solutions in AWS Redshift
- Competent in business analysis, data modeling, and documentation
- Exceptional analytical abilities to interpret data, identify trends, and derive insights
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration
- Experience in technical writing and presentations
- Proven experience with cross-functional teamwork and leading technical teams
- Adaptable, quick learner with a flexible mindset
- Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
- Familiarity with financial market data is a plus
- Bachelors or masters degree in financial engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, finance, economics, or a related field
Responsibilities
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data to provide insights and support decision-making through dashboard creation
- Aid in the development and implementation of data collection systems and strategic initiatives
- Clean and validate data to ensure its accuracy and reliability
- Design and implement dashboards in Tableau (experience with MicroStrategy and QuickSight is a plus)
- Conduct statistical analyses and develop dashboard visualizations
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and create data-driven solutions
- Deliver project status reports and presentations regarding product achievements
Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Data Analyst / Tableau Developer to join our team and work on a highly visible project for a federal financial markets regulatory agency as a contractor. Our office is metro accessible in Washington, DC, conveniently located near GWU and Dupont Circle. This hybrid role allows for three days onsite and two days remote per week, with the possibility of transitioning to fully onsite soon. We value US citizenship for this position and offer a competitive salary ranging from $120,000.00 to $165,000.00 per year, along with benefits including a 401(k).
