Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience in networking, security engineering, architecture, or pre-sales engineering
- Bachelors degree in a technical discipline or equivalent industry experience
- Relevant industry certifications preferred such as CCNP, CCIE, PCNSE, NSE, JNCIS/JNCIP, Aruba, etc.
- Strong knowledge in routing, switching, and wireless technologies (Cisco, HPE/Aruba, Juniper, etc.)
- Proficient in security technologies like firewalls, IDS/IPS, MFA, identity management, ZTNA, VPN, and SASE
- Experience in designing enterprise-grade, redundant, and scalable network architectures
- Understanding of cloud-connected networking and Microsoft security frameworks
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical concepts
- Strong documentation and proposal development abilities
- Capacity to manage multiple concurrent opportunities in a fast-paced setting
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Engage closely with account executives to qualify sales opportunities and provide robust networking and cybersecurity solutions
- Lead technical discovery sessions to ascertain client needs and pinpoint networking and security requirements
- Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and design reviews to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Articulate the value of solutions, design strategies, and anticipated outcomes clearly
- Create thorough networking and cybersecurity solutions, including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPN, NAC, segmentation, SD-WAN, and cloud-integrated security
- Develop client-ready proposals, bills of material (BOMs), Visio diagrams, and Statements of Work (SOWs)
- Ensure that solutions adhere to best practices for security, reliability, scalability, and compliance
- Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure seamless transition from pre-sales to implementation
- Keep current with developments in enterprise networking, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies
- Participate in vendor training, certification programs, and technology workshops
- Share best practices internally and contribute to solution development efforts
- Serve as a subject matter expert by presenting at industry conferences, webinars, and client events to promote Data Networks as a trusted thought leader
- Work collaboratively with Sales, Engineering, Project Management, and Marketing to ensure alignment in strategy and solution delivery
- Aid in pipeline development through technical qualification and strategic opportunity support
