Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in systems administration or operations
- 6 years of experience with a Masters degree or 3 years with a PhD
- Proficiency with open-source configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Chef)
- Experience working in Linux environments
- Strong background with Linux-based infrastructures and Linux/Unix administration
- Capability to operate with minimal oversight in a dynamic setting
- Eagerness to learn and broaden technical expertise in new fields and technologies
- Over 6 years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role (or similar role)
- Familiarity with open-source cloud tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenStack)
- Knowledge of public cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure)
- Software development experience in any programming language
- Active TS/SCI clearance (Required)
Responsibilities
- Manage platform systems, including OpenStack, Kubernetes, Spark, and Hadoop
- Serve as an engineer to bolster both the infrastructure and development facets of the systems
- Create and implement enhancements and automation across various environments
- Enhance system performance through updates and optimizations utilizing diverse technologies
- Participate in the maintenance and support of the High-Performance Computing (HPC) environment
- Collaborate with team members and stakeholders on-site at a government location
- Participate in various tasks alongside Technical Leadership
