Requirements
Must:
- 8+ years of relevant experience in delivering software solutions with a focus on automated testing.
- Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Experience with Agile/Waterfall methodologies and coordination between onsite/offshore teams.
- In-depth knowledge of the software implementation lifecycle, focusing on testing models and processes.
- Familiarity with Test Engineering methodologies and Test Automation Frameworks.
- Proficient in automation across various software layers (e.g., UI, services, APIs) and CI/CD technologies (e.g., Cloudbees, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, JUnit, Jira).
- Strong Java/Selenium development skills, particularly in test environments.
- Extensive experience with modern scripting language components.
- Proven expertise in frontend test automation using Selenium Webdriver.
- Proficient in backend test automation with Rest Assured/Karate for API testing and JDBC/JPA for database testing (Oracle/DB2/Snowflake).
- Capable of writing sophisticated SQL queries.
- Experience with JIRA, ALM, Bitbucket, Git, and Jenkins.
- Ability to collaborate with both business clients and technical teams, while working independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in mentoring junior test engineers and verifying their work.
- Unix, Python, and AWS experience are a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Accountable for maintaining process compliance and relevant documentation.
Responsibilities
- Independently lead Test Engineering teams within the IT CSS WRAFT Delivery team.
- Develop test plans and implement them according to established test procedures.
- Ensure the development, release, and maintenance of test procedures.
- Conduct system integration testing, including automation, for newly developed or enhanced applications.
- Actively translate business and functional requirements into measurable outcomes.
- Guide the team on test automation strategies and provide critical feedback during all phases of project work.
- Collaborate with teams including Product Management, Application Development, and DevOps.
- Track test execution outcomes and report on issues and risks that may affect project timelines.
- Construct comprehensive end-to-end business scenarios aligned with business objectives.
- Oversee Delivery Pipeline adoption and identify dependencies related to environmental and data requirements.
- Contribute to a standard framework of reusable functions for testing.
- Gain a thorough understanding of the products being delivered.
- Ensure adherence to process compliance and maintain necessary documentation.
- Integrate risk and control processes into daily activities to supervise and mitigate risk appropriately.
- Work closely with business and development domain experts to enhance understanding of assigned applications/systems.
- Manage project coordination and technical management tasks.
