Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
- Bachelors degree is preferred or equivalent experience
- 8+ years of backend development expertise in Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, Redis
- Practical experience with AWS cloud services and message broker platforms like Kafka
- Hands-on familiarity with REST APIs and Kubernetes-based container platforms
- Proficient in object-oriented design patterns and programming techniques
- Knowledge of build, observability, and deployment tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Maven, Jenkins, Dynatrace
- Experience working with large, modular codebases and mono repositories for scalable code
- Understanding of packaging and deploying back-end applications, ideally using Docker or Podman
- Capability in troubleshooting and resolving complex production incidents
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to manage and mentor a team of engineers across various locations
- Experience driving agile development practices, code reviews, and support using modern code assistance tools
- Collaborate with multi-functional teams including QA, DevOps, and Product Management
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with our team to design and support features within application services using REST-based and event-driven architectures
- Utilize Java, Hibernate, Spring Boot, and Kafka to architect and implement scalable, resilient, and secure distributed application services
- Employ container platforms such as Openshift and EKS to design and deploy containerized applications
- Utilize tools like Maven, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Hashicorp Vault to manage continuous builds and deployments
- Leverage AWS cloud services, including S3, Lambda, and Aurora Postgres
- Work with REST APIs for backend communication
- Utilize databases like Oracle, Snowflake, Postgres, and DynamoDB for data modeling, performance tuning, and query optimization
- Develop and maintain Unix shell scripts for automation and operational tasks
- Create MFE-based UI services using React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript
- Contribute to maintaining a design system for consistent user interfaces
