Requirements
Must:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in automated unit and integration testing.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proficient in test automation frameworks and tools like Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, etc.
- Familiarity with CI/CD technologies (e.g., Cloudbees, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Cucumber, Git, JUnit, Jira).
- Strong background in modern scripting language testing.
- Extensive experience in automated testing and test-driven development.
- Detailed understanding of smoke testing, functional testing, non-black box testing, and regression testing.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies, including unit testing, integration testing, and functional testing.
- Expertise in backend test automation using Rest Assured/Karate for API testing, and JDBC/JPA for database testing (Oracle/DB2/Snowflake).
- Experience in Java Application Development.
- Proficient in at least one programming language (Java, Python, C#, etc.).
- Knowledge of databases and SQL is preferred.
- Experience in writing SQL queries.
- Familiarity with Agile/Waterfall methodologies and onsite/offshore work coordination.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement automated testing procedures to ensure software quality.
- Collaborate with the squad to thoroughly understand software requirements.
- Create, develop, and sustain automated tests to verify functionality.
- Work with the team to identify and rectify defects while refining the overall software testing process.
- Implement and uphold continuous integration and continuous delivery (CICD) practices.
- Diagnose and resolve software issues effectively.
- Stay informed on emerging software testing methodologies, tools, and technologies.
- Apply industry standards and best practices in testing.
- Establish expertise in relevant business areas, systems, and platforms.
- Conduct system integration testing, including the automation of newly developed or enhanced applications.
- Review requirements and design documentation, and create unit, integration, and system test cases ensuring thorough test coverage.
- Communicate effectively the business relevance and value adds of projects.
- Actively engage in translating business and functional requirements into tangible outcomes.
- Undertake project coordination and technical management responsibilities.
