Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
- Bachelors degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience
- Proficiency in designing and developing advanced Online and Batch Mainframe applications using COBOL, CICS as the transaction processing monitor, and DB2 as the relational database management system
- Familiarity with MQ and DB2 Connect for interfacing with distributed web applications
- Strong grasp of Batch jobs with JCL, including catalog procedures and files (PS/PDS/VSAM)
- Experience with scheduling batch activities using CA-Scheduler
- Expertise in application programming IDEs for Mainframe (IDZ)
- Knowledge of version control and configuration management tools such as Changeman
- Skills in reverse-engineering Mainframe applications utilizing DB2 and CICS
- Commitment to cultivating a culture of integrity and clarity
- Up-to-date knowledge of changes in the relevant specialization area and a desire for ongoing learning
- Willingness to mentor others individually
- Ability to foster collaborative teams throughout the organization
- Open communication skills to keep all stakeholders informed
- Familiarity with mutual fund services is a plus
Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical authority on one or more applications utilized by DTCC
- Collaborate with Business System Analysts to ensure that designs fulfill functional requirements
- Work alongside Infrastructure teams to identify and implement efficient hosting solutions
- Optimize application performance to address and minimize issues
- Investigate and assess technical solutions that align with DTCCs technology standards
- Utilize various software development methodologies based on project requirements
- Contribute knowledge to the design of components or programs and engage in construction and functional testing
- Assist development teams with testing, troubleshooting, and production support needs
- Build applications and create unit test cases that affirm compliance with functional and non-functional criteria
- Collaborate with peers to refine ways of working, continuous integration, and continuous delivery
- Integrate risk and control processes into routine responsibilities to oversee and reduce risk; appropriately highlight concerns
