Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 6-8 years of experience in automated unit and integration testing.
- Bachelors degree in computer science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Strong proficiency in Java programming, including OOP principles, Collections Framework, exception handling, streams and lambda expressions, and multithreading/concurrency.
- Experience with Java-based test automation frameworks like Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Familiarity with build tools (Maven/Gradle) and dependency management.
- Proficient in API testing (Rest Assured) and database validation (JDBC/JPA).
- Deep understanding of software testing methodologies, as well as TDD and BDD practices.
- Solid knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle, DB2, Snowflake).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket) and version control systems (Git).
- Excellent problem-solving abilities along with strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Preferred: Experience with cloud environments and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), knowledge of performance testing tools (JMeter), and familiarity with Agile/DevOps frameworks.
Responsibilities
- Design and build test automation frameworks using Java and tools such as Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts based in Java for UI, API, and backend testing.
- Utilize Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and best practices for writing automation code.
- Implement design patterns like Page Object Model (POM) for scalable test automation.
- Conduct API testing utilizing Rest Assured and validate databases using JDBC/JPA.
- Collaborate closely with development teams to seamlessly integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Bitbucket, Cloudbees).
- Write and refine complex SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
- Champion Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) methodologies using Cucumber.
- Ensure extensive test coverage through unit, integration, functional, regression, and smoke testing.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to the continuous enhancement of testing processes.
