Requirements
Must:
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, SQL, Assembler
- Experience with CICS, DB2, VSAM, z/OS, ISPF, and mainframe utilities
- Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Knowledge of batch and online processing, data analysis, and system integration
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and debug software applications
Responsibilities
- Develop, modify, and maintain mainframe applications
- Ensure the smooth functioning of central processing systems, including updates and enhancements
- Execute unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for software solutions
- Collaborate with business analysts, system engineers, and fellow developers to meet business requirements
- Create and maintain technical specifications, user manuals, and other supporting documentation
- Optimize applications to improve performance and efficiency
