Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience with AWS services (including EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway)
- Proficient in Node.js for backend development
- Skilled in React.js for modern frontend applications
- Solid knowledge and practical experience with MySQL and PostgreSQL, including schema design, indexing, and query optimization
- Familiar with REST APIs, authentication protocols, and integration best practices
- Quick to analyze, document, and take ownership of existing systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and debugging expertise
- Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration across teams
- Familiarity with CI/CD processes and DevOps methodologies (preferred)
- Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes on AWS (preferred)
- Knowledge of caching solutions (Redis, Memcached) and messaging frameworks (preferred)
- Previous experience in application transition or ownership roles (preferred)

Responsibilities
- Assume full responsibility for managing an existing full stack application hosted on AWS
- Collaborate closely with the current resource to gain insights into the systems architecture, data models, APIs, and integrations
- Maintain and enhance backend services developed using Node.js, ensuring they are scalable, reliable, and high-performing
- Create and improve frontend components utilizing React to deliver a seamless user experience
- Oversee and fine-tune relational databases (MySQL and PostgreSQL) for optimal availability and performance
- Implement application deployments, as well as monitoring and cost optimization strategies on AWS
- Resolve issues across the entire stack, including frontend, backend, database, and cloud components
- Work in tandem with stakeholders, serving as the primary point of accountability for the application
