Requirements

Must:
- Must be a U.S. citizen with an active Secret security clearance. - Prior experience in Help Desk or IT Support involving configuration and troubleshooting of Windows PC environments and network printers. - Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems, common software, hardware, basic networking, and remote support tools. - Excellent verbal and written communication, patience, customer service, problem-solving, and analytical skills. - Must fulfill DoD 8140 (formerly 8570) certification requirements, which include one or more of the following certifications: - CompTIA Security+ - CompTIA Network+ - CompTIA A+ - Associate or Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred. - Experience in a government or DoD environment is a plus. - Familiarity with networking protocols and services like TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP is advantageous.

Responsibilities

- Provide technical support by addressing and resolving user issues related to computers, printers, software (including OS and Office), network connectivity, and basic server/access problems. - Manage help desk tickets by logging, tracking, prioritizing, and updating them from intake to resolution. - Diagnose technical issues associated with Microsoft Office Suite, Windows Operating Systems, and other user applications using diagnostic tools and remote access software. - Guide users step-by-step through solutions in a clear and comprehensible manner. - Carry out account management tasks, including password resets, user account creation, and access modifications. - Escalate unresolved or complex issues to Tier 2/3 support or specialized teams when necessary. - Assist in the installation, updating, and basic maintenance of hardware and software.

This is an onsite position, with potential for occasional after-hours or weekend work to conduct system maintenance and upgrades.
