Requirements
Must:
- 6-7 years of experience in a Technical Business Analyst role or equivalent
- Background in the financial industry, preferably with expertise in market data
- Strong technical skills with practical experience in:
- SQL (including complex analytical queries)
- Excel (advanced functionalities)
- Python (preferred)
- Proven ability to produce Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), use cases, test cases, and to conduct system integration testing and UAT
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Strong project management and leadership capabilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn, adapt to shifting priorities, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- High energy and a proactive approach to learning the market data field
- Capacity to collaborate with global teams while managing various stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving abilities combined with an innovative and analytical mindset
Responsibilities
- Lead efforts in system and data analysis to back application development initiatives
-Develop clear and thorough documentation, inclusive of BRDs, FRDs, and system flow diagrams
- Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure smooth integration of systems and procedures
- Identify enhancements to systems for launching new products or enhancing existing processes
- Provide expert guidance on application design, architecture, and programming standards
- Support the entirety of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), from requirements gathering through UAT and implementation
- Manage project backlogs, enhancement requests, and deliverables via tools such as JIRA
- Carry out data analysis utilizing SQL, Excel, and ideally Python to assist business users and guarantee data integrity
- Conduct impact analysis for current systems and downstream data flows
- Offer mentorship and direction to mid-level analysts and developers, assign tasks, and foster skill development
- Ensure compliance with risk management and regulatory standards
Description
We are seeking a Technical Business Analyst at the VP level to join our Tampa office at Citi. This senior role requires someone who can quickly become effective with a minimal ramp-up period. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical abilities, particularly in market data, while also being open to learning more about market data. In this position, you will engage in application development initiatives, focusing on system and data analysis, requirements documentation, and process enhancement, primarily related to market data projects.
