Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in a related field from an accredited institution
- Proficient knowledge and experience with Esri ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap/ArcGIS Pro)
- At least 3 years of relevant experience
- Graduate GIS Certificate, URISA GISP, Esri ArcGIS Certification, or other related GIS qualifications are highly desired
- Familiarity with ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS mobile applications is a plus
- Experience with Esri geodatabases (e.g., mapping, editing, analysis) and GIS data development/management is preferred
- Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service and fostering positive customer relationships
- Strong communication, interpersonal, collaboration, and teamwork abilities
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first tier of GIS technical support for GDOT
- Ensure the functionality of virtual ArcGIS Desktop environments and enterprise GIS applications
- Provide outstanding customer service, maintaining follow-up to address client concerns or needs, and acting as a liaison
- Escalate technical issues and collaborate with IT staff to resolve challenges, consulting with Esri support as required
- Instruct users on utilizing Esri ArcGIS solutions and associated applications, enhancing their productivity with GIS
- Support the team with GIS upgrades and projects, offering on-call assistance as needed
- Develop, revise, or maintain system and technical documentation as necessary
- Establish the GDOT GIS User Group and contribute to the creation of training resources
Description
We are seeking an Esri ArcGIS end user support specialist to join our Enterprise GIS Team within IT Applications. This role involves analyzing and resolving technical support requests related to various ArcGIS products and applications. Our team consists of professionals dedicated to supporting over 180 ArcGIS Desktop users and managing approximately 60,000 annual web visits. We appreciate candidates who can adapt to a hybrid work schedule, incorporating both in-office and remote capabilities.
