Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent in Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science
- 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in this role or a related field
- Proficiency with Hadoop, HDFS, and Amazon Web Services
- Experience in application architecture design and consulting for development teams
- Skills in defining processes to enhance development team productivity
- Ability to meet with management to gather requirements and formulate technical solutions
- Background in application and system configuration, reliability, and performance optimization
- Knowledge of installation, maintenance, and upgrades for big data applications and systems
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and enhance data solutions for large-scale databases and big data systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement data architecture strategies
- Manage and optimize data pipelines, ETL workflows, and integration of data from varied sources
- Engage in large-scale enterprise data projects by defining technical requirements and designing data models
- Implement strategies for performance tuning and ensure data quality and consistency
- Develop and promote best practices in database management and query optimization
- Conduct application architecture designs and reviews as necessary for the development team
- Define processes to improve overall productivity and address potential issues
- Coordinate with management to gather requirements and devise technical approaches
- Work on the configuration, reliability, and performance of big data applications and systems
