Requirements
Must:
- Five or more years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or related fields
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience developing data pipelines and managing large, intricate datasets
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Hands-on experience with Databricks and Lakehouse architectures
- Ability to convey technical insights in an understandable manner to non-technical stakeholders
- Willingness to work onsite at Scott Air Force Base and travel within CONUS approximately ten percent
Responsibilities
- Engineer, analyze, and model data from the Joint Petroleum Enterprise to assist with global bulk fuel planning and execution
- Build and deploy analytical and predictive models to forecast demand, identify risks, and enhance logistics flows
- Create dashboards, reports, and visualizations that strengthen the Global Common Operating Picture
- Utilize data platforms including Databricks Lakehouse and Palantir Ontology to prepare and analyze sophisticated datasets
- Collaborate with USTRANSCOM stakeholders, working groups, and governance boards to convert data into actionable decisions
- Assist with ad hoc and mission-driven analytics linked to real operational inquiries rather than abstract KPIs
