Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitivity of customer-related information.
- Must secure and maintain an active Top Secret clearance and be eligible for SCI.
- Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Familiar with cloud-based systems, including cost and performance management.
- Knowledge of agile methodologies, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps principles.
- Extensive understanding of systems acquisition and program management principles, particularly as outlined in DoDI 5000.02 and 5000.75.
- Familiarity with the roles and relationships within the Department of Defense and the Air Force.
- Proficient in qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques for assessing acquisition program effectiveness.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of producing high-quality acquisition documentation such as briefings and plans.
Responsibilities
- Provide Systems Engineering support throughout the acquisition lifecycle from requirements analysis to system disposal.
- Collaborate with one of five Mission Integration Teams (MITs) focused on specialized mission areas.
- Manage the DAF C3BM MIT Process by evaluating operational and functional requirements from the Operational Community.
- Conduct operational analyses to convert operational and functional requirements into technical specifications.
- Define architectures that ensure integration and interoperability with the DAF C3BM architecture.
- Assess risks associated with capabilities and work with the Science & Technology Community for mitigation solutions if necessary.
- Develop execution management strategies to relay capability requirements to the Acquisition Community.
- Collaborate with the Test and Evaluation Community to formulate testing strategies for exercises and experimentation before operational deployment.
- Drive the design and development of system-of-systems architecture ensuring seamless sensor-to-shooter connectivity.
- Facilitate interconnectivity across represented Program Executive Offices (PEOs) and weapon systems.
- Analyze current DoD architecture to chart a path towards a future state that optimizes connectivity across services and coalitions.
- Identify and refine innovative, budget-compliant concepts that address current and future Air Force requirements through multi-domain expertise and analytical modeling.

We are DCS, offering an exciting role for a Systems Engineer to support the Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Division (C3BM). Our mission is to enhance the Department of the Air Forces Battle Network to deliver resilient decision advantages to the USAF, USSF, Joint, and Coalition Forces. This position is based at Wright Patterson AFB, Dayton, OH, and offers a full-time commitment.
