Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitivity of customer-related requirements
- Must possess and maintain a Top Secret Clearance
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field
- 12 years of experience in the applicable technical/professional discipline
- At least 5 years of experience within the Department of Defense (DoD)
- Preferred: Masters or Doctorate degree in a pertinent field
- Additional experience in the relevant technical/professional discipline, ideally within the DoD
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
Responsibilities
- Provide Information System Security Officer (ISSO) support to maintain the operational security posture of assigned IT systems
- Conduct activities to maintain situational awareness regarding cybersecurity and take initiatives to enhance or restore security posture
- Implement and enforce all Air Force cybersecurity policies, procedures, and countermeasures
- Complete and maintain necessary cybersecurity certifications in accordance with AFMAN17-1303
- Ensure that all users possess the required security clearances and need-to-know while completing annual cybersecurity training
- Maintain up-to-date access control documentation in line with the applicable AF Records Information Management System
- Ensure that software, hardware, and firmware adhere to proper security configuration guidelines
- Follow essential configuration management procedures before implementation, contingent upon required approvals
- Coordinate changes or modifications with the system-level Information System Security Manager (ISSM), Security Control Assessor (SCA), and/or Security Control Assessor Representative (SCAR)
- Initiate protective or corrective measures in collaboration with the ISSM upon discovering security incidents or vulnerabilities
- Report security incidents or vulnerabilities to the system-level ISSM
- Propose exceptions, deviations, or waivers to cybersecurity requirements
