Requirements
Must:
- U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the nature of the role.
- Must have and maintain a Secret level security clearance.
- Bachelors Degree in a technical field; a Masters Degree is preferred.
- 20 years of directly relevant experience, with a minimum of 10 years in the Department of Defense (DoD).
- Familiarity with cybersecurity in a DoD cloud infrastructure.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, including Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD), DevSecOps, and DevOps practices.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for articulating complex technical concepts.
- Capacity to engage professionally with diverse DOD personnel and international military and civilian stakeholders.
- One of the following certifications: CISM, CISSO, FITSP, D, GCIA, GCSA, GCLD, GDSA, GICSP, CISSP, ISSAP, or CISSP ISSEP.
- Proven experience in network architecture and design.
- Demonstrated experience within DoD networking, ideally in association with a Joint Communications Support Element (JCSE).
- Knowledge of software-defined networking (SDN).
- Experience with DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF), including Authorization to Operate (ATO), Authorization to Connect (ATC), and reciprocity processes.
- Skilled in managing Enhanced Security Management System (eMASS) packages.
- Proficient in server administration and aware of system/application security vulnerabilities and threats.
- Experience with the implementation of DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
- Practical knowledge of using the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) tool.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% to CONUS and OCONUS locations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the creation and assessment of documents related to system security, including System Security Management Plans and Program Protection Plans.
- Provide support for Authorization & Accreditation (A&A) activities within the Risk Management Framework (RMF) to ensure all documentation meets required standards.
- Offer technical guidance in designing network and system architectures with a focus on cybersecurity for Defense and joint platforms.
- Aid in cross-domain solutions (CDS), support for Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC), and processes for NSA approvals.
- Conduct cybersecurity risk and vulnerability analysis across both planned and operational systems.
- Formulate risk-based mitigation strategies and counsel leadership on security trade-offs that affect mission success.
- Deliver acquisition program security assistance throughout the lifecycle, including the evaluation of sources.
- Keep and scrutinize classified information systems, including records management for visits and security clearances.
- Provide advisory support to government authorities regarding cybersecurity strategies and adherence to regulations.
- Collaborate with both government and industry partners to secure RMF authorization approvals efficiently.
