Information Systems Security Engineer

- Design and enforce security protocols to protect computer systems, networks, and sensitive data - Maintain and refresh all A&A documentation to ensure the Agencys Network assets are up to date, including necessary revisions in the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMass) - Oversee documentation and registration processes for Network Ports, Protocols, and Services - Monitor and report on the current status of all outstanding RMF A&A items and related documentation - Conduct regular assessments of security controls, STIGS, SRGs, and perform audits to uncover vulnerabilities, supporting the development of remediation plans - Validate and review configurations of network devices as per STIGs on a quarterly basis - Ensure that antivirus software is effectively deployed with current signatures across all devices on a weekly basis - Monitor and analyze audit logs from laptops, workstations, servers, and encryption protocols weekly - Collaborate with IT personnel to ensure effective integration of security tools within the existing infrastructure - Manage and update HBSS Windows Server OS and database components - Oversee ACAS Linux OS, including database components, and handle creation, execution, and analysis of scans - Recognize and act on weekly IAVAs, IAVBs, and IAVMs, as well as develop and maintain system baselines - Continuously monitor security systems for irregularities or breaches and address incidents swiftly - Remain informed on the latest trends and technologies in cybersecurity
