Requirements
Must:
- B.S. degree in electrical engineering with proven work experience
- Knowledge of electronic testing instruments (e.g., Vector Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, Oscilloscope)
- Proven experience in electronics development and prototyping, including printed circuit board design, low volume assembly, embedded systems programming, and testing
- Proficiency in both analog and digital circuit design
- Expertise in hardware and software interface development
- Strong ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Skilled in creative problem-solving with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Familiarity with embedded communication protocols (e.g., CAN, UART, I2C, and/or SPI)
- Experience with Machine Learning / Artificial Intelligence
Responsibilities
- Independently and collaboratively design, develop, and test new electrical/electronic systems including board design, wiring diagrams, and prototype assembly
- Generate bill of materials, perform cost analysis, and conduct tradeoff analyses
- Collaborate with the engineering team to enhance design reviews (optimization)
- Demonstrate and field test solutions at customer locations
- Present project outcomes to clients, internal teams, and subject matter experts through presentations and summary reports
- Report on project status during customer program reviews, submit summary documents, align project sprints with deadlines, and assist in proposal development for new business ventures
- Design, set up, and perform experiments
- Analyze and document results from experiments
- Design and test embedded software applications
- Implement industry-standard best practices throughout the development cycle and engage with customers to define specifications and requirements
- Lead the integration of hardware and software with the team
- Work alongside the engineering team to establish design constraints for project ideas
- Prepare reports and presentations to convey findings
