Requirements
Must:
We are looking for a candidate who meets the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor’s degree (BS or BA required).
- Over 8 years of professional experience in cybersecurity, cyber intrusion analysis, digital forensics, malware analysis, or related fields.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Splunk (required)
- Microsoft Sentinel (required)
- Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) or a similar operational cybersecurity role.
- Proficient in analyzing malicious software, network traffic, and cyber threat activity.
- Familiarity with system vulnerability assessments and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ability to react to security incidents, breaches, and active threats.
- Experience in collaborative team environments, particularly in software development or cyber settings.
- Strong capacity to direct, manage, and contribute to technical tasks to fulfill customer requirements.
- An active Top Secret security clearance is essential.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will focus on the following key responsibilities:
- I will analyze cyber threat data, which includes network traffic, malicious binaries, memory dumps, and disk images.
- I will conduct static and dynamic malware analysis, reverse engineering, and functional analysis of compiled software, scripts, and firmware.
- I will support the development and enhancement of cyber capabilities across various environments.
- I will utilize Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel for threat monitoring, detection engineering, alerting, and security analytics.
- Monitoring security environments is crucial, as I will identify gaps, vulnerabilities, and emerging threats from an adversarial viewpoint.
- I will collaborate with cybersecurity, SOC, and software development teams to devise solutions and implement mitigation strategies.
- Performing forensic analysis to support investigations and incident response efforts will also be part of my responsibilities.
- I will provide recommendations aimed at improving defensive posture, threat visibility, and incident detection.
- Additionally, I will participate in planning, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring security measures that protect networks, systems, and data.
- I will contribute to the documentation, reporting, and communication of findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Description
This position is full-time, with a salary range of $145,000.00 to $170,000.00 per year. The work location is in person. We value your expertise and look forward to having you contribute to our mission-critical cybersecurity and threat detection efforts.
