Requirements
Must:
- Active Secret Clearance required
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- CompTIA Security+ certification required; CCNA certifications preferred
- 3-7 years of experience in systems engineering for DoD, Navy, or NAVWAR programs
- Proficient in monitoring, validating, and troubleshooting IT systems in complex environments
- Capable of operating, administering, and managing systems in accordance with documented protocols
- Skilled in analyzing logs, error reports, and data for trend identification and root cause analysis
- Knowledgeable in recommending solutions for technologies including LAN/WAN, datacenter servers, virtualization, client workstations, Microsoft and RHEL software, enterprise software solutions, cloud hosting, mobile devices, VTC technologies, cyber security, system architectures, and engineering processes
- Strong communication abilities to effectively brief both technical and non-technical audiences
- Capable of working autonomously and collaboratively within cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
Responsibilities
- Support the development, operation, and maintenance of complex Navy IT systems
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient system performance
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in line with engineering principles
- Monitor system performance and validate functionality in intricate environments
- Administer and operate various IT systems following established procedures
- Analyze system logs and error reports to identify trends and conduct root cause investigations
- Recommend technological solutions in areas such as LAN/WAN, datacenter operations, and cybersecurity
- Present technical briefs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Engage independently as well as within a team to drive project success
