Requirements
Must:
- Hands-on experience in Terraform development using Typescript (4 years)
- Experience in developing and managing AWS services, particularly Amazon EKS (8 years)
- Expertise in designing, building, and maintaining service meshes like Istio within an EKS environment (4 years)
- Extensive background in developing and managing various AWS services, including EC2, EKS, ECR, S3, and Cognito (8 years)
- Experience with Docker containers and microservices frameworks (6 years)
- Experience working with Helm charts (6 years)
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as TypeScript and Python (6 years)
- Experience in building pipelines using CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub (8 years)
- Solid understanding of AWS Well-Architected Frameworks (4 years)
- Strong knowledge of networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS) (8 years)
- Experience in implementing security best practices within AWS environments (6 years)
- Familiarity with configuration management and orchestration tools (8 years)
- AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer (required)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Previous experience in the public sector or on large-scale projects
Responsibilities
- Participate in the design, development, and upkeep of AWS infrastructure utilizing Terraform and Typescript while adhering to best practices.
- Manage, configure, and optimize a wide array of AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, EKS, ECR, Cognito, Lambda, RDS, S3, IAM, and CloudFront.
- Architect, build, and maintain Istio service mesh within EKS clusters for seamless and secure service interactions.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance in implementing AWS cloud infrastructure, mentoring diverse teams.
- Develop and sustain robust unit and integration tests to ensure the integrity and reliability of infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Lead the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines to automate deployment processes for increased efficiency.
- Collect telemetry and establish comprehensive monitoring systems, using tools such as FluentBit and CloudWatch for in-depth insights into cloud operations and application performance.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers to enhance application performance and reliability in AWS environments.
- Implement and uphold security best practices and compliance controls to ensure adherence to high operational and security standards.
