Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical project management, with no less than 3 years specifically in mission-critical or data center settings.
- In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, chilled water facilities, mechanical piping, and critical cooling systems.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage extensive mechanical scopes, subcontractors, budgets, and timelines on intricate projects.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings, specifications, and BIM models.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and client-facing abilities.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working in demanding, fast-paced environments.
- Familiarity with project management software (MS Project, Smartsheet), Microsoft Office Suite, and construction documentation platforms.
- A Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience with commissioning and integrated systems testing is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the complete lifecycle management of mechanical scopes for hyperscale and enterprise data center projects.
- Supervise the planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, and resource management for multi-million-dollar mechanical packages.
- Oversee the installation of chilled water systems, CRAH/CRAC units, air distribution, pumps, piping, and essential mechanical equipment.
- Collaborate closely with design engineers, BIM/VDC teams, commissioning agents, and trade partners to ensure project constructability and compliance with requirements.
- Analyze and approve mechanical drawings, submittals, RFIs, and other technical documentation.
- Ensure field execution aligns with quality, safety, productivity, and owner standards.
- Conduct weekly project meetings, monitor progress, and proactively address issues that may affect schedule or costs.
- Cultivate strong client relationships through clear communication, regular forecasts, and comprehensive risk mitigation strategies.
- Assist in commissioning activities, integrated systems testing, and turnover documentation.
- Mentor project engineers and junior project managers, fostering team growth and the adoption of best practices.

We are seeking experienced senior mechanical project managers who are willing to travel or relocate to various project sites. Our ideal candidate will possess substantial experience managing mechanical aspects of data center projects. We offer a competitive salary ranging from $150,000 to $200,000, alongside a quarterly bonus structure.
