Requirements
Must:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen eligible for a DoD Secret clearance
- 3+ years of experience in AI/ML engineering or a related field
- Proficient in designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines in production
- Familiarity with vector databases such as pgvector, Qdrant, Pinecone, or Weaviate
- Strong knowledge of embeddings and semantic search techniques
- Experienced in fine-tuning LLMs using methods like LoRA or QLoRA, particularly with Hugging Face
- Skilled in Python and modern backend frameworks such as FastAPI
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or similar relational databases
- Experience with REST APIs and streaming technologies
- Familiar with Docker and containerized deployments
- Understanding of Kubernetes and distributed systems
- Experience with model serving frameworks like vLLM, TGI, or Ollama
- Knowledge of GPU-based compute environments
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
- Design and develop AI capabilities enabling users to query ISR data, generate insights, and manage mission workflows through natural language
- Develop and maintain RAG pipelines leveraging structured and unstructured operational data
- Implement and optimize vector search strategies, embedding pipelines, and hybrid retrieval methods for accurate outputs
- Establish a provider-agnostic LLM integration layer that supports both enterprise AI services and self-hosted models
- Create AI systems that perform efficiently in disconnected, degraded, intermittent, and low-bandwidth environments
- Lead model selection, fine-tuning, and evaluation utilizing domain-specific datasets
- Develop backend services and APIs for AI, including orchestration, context management, and intent parsing
- Integrate AI functionalities into the WISRD platform to facilitate real-time user interaction and workflow automation
- Set up MLOps pipelines, monitor model performance metrics, and continuously enhance system quality
- Ensure AI solutions comply with security, data handling, and operational requirements across multiple enclaves
