Requirements
Must:
- Strong knowledge of network routing and switching
- CCNA certification preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Proficient in managing SD-WAN technologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
- Experience with network monitoring tools and automation
- Familiarity with Cisco CLI
- Capability to assess problems and make timely decisions
- Willingness to stay updated with new networking technologies
- Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds and work from a step ladder
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and SD-WAN devices
- Monitor, test, verify, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues
- Collaborate with users, service providers, and business partners on problem resolution
- Assist in executing planned network deployments and upgrades
- Participate in managing Service Now trouble tickets and reporting
- Support the rollout of new network technologies to meet operational needs
- Ensure proper documentation of trouble tickets in Service Now
- Identify and address complex network problems proactively
- Collaborate with the team in evaluating and recommending emerging technologies
- Prepare technical solutions and recommendations based on current and future network needs
- Develop and review configuration standards
- Design and recommend optimizations for complex networks
- Ensure all networks comply with security requirements
- Maintain Visio diagrams documenting network elements
- Manage documentation related to network component configuration
- Assist remote IT staff and agency operations staff with network issues
- Perform other related duties as necessary
