Requirements
Must:
We are seeking individuals with expertise in configuration management (such as Chef or Salt) and/or significant experience in Ruby. Ideal candidates will have a background in large-scale data stores utilizing technologies like Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, and MySQL. Experience managing high-stakes Linux environments and familiarity with cloud operations, especially with Amazon Web Services, is essential. We value those who can collaborate seamlessly with both local and remote teams and have demonstrated sound decision-making abilities when it matters most. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must, along with a blend of confidence and independence, coupled with the wisdom to seek assistance when necessary. A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or Engineering, is required.
Responsibilities
In this role, I will ensure that I maintain an in-depth understanding of our data components, which includes Cassandra, ElasticSearch/OpenSearch, Kafka, Zookeeper, MySQL, and PostgreSQL. I will utilize this knowledge to effectively operate and automate well-configured clusters. Additionally, I will develop infrastructure services that bolster our engineering team in achieving a complete DevOps model. Collaboration with Engineering and Customer Support will be crucial as I troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues, irrespective of when they arise. Furthermore, it will be my responsibility to safeguard and maintain petabytes of essential business data, ensuring it remains secure and readily accessible.
