Requirements
Must:
- Over 5 years of experience as an Oracle DBA supporting production environments.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with GoldenGate (versions 19.x or 21.x).
- In-depth knowledge of CDC-based replication and high-availability architectures.
- Proven track record in delivering Oracle GoldenGate data to Google Cloud Storage and BigQuery.
- Familiarity with ZDLRA, RMAN, and enterprise-level recovery operations.
- Proficient in SQL/PLSQL, Linux/UNIX, and performance optimization techniques.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for large-scale distributed data replication systems.
- Exceptional communication, documentation, and incident management abilities.
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the deployment, management, tuning, and problem-solving of Oracle GoldenGate (19.x/21.x) in extensive production settings.
- Set up and maintain GoldenGate Extract, Pump, and Replicat processes for both unidirectional and bidirectional replication.
- Design and oversee full-load and CDC data pipelines from Oracle to Google Cloud Storage and BigQuery, including file-based ingestion (Avro/Parquet/JSON) and MERGE operations.
- Assist in implementing Zero-Downtime Migration (ZDM) strategies and GoldenGate high-availability architecture.
- Manage Oracle databases (11gR2, 12c, 19c), inclusive of Grid Infrastructure, RAC, ASM/ACFS, performance tuning, and production activities.
- Engage with Zero Data Loss Recovery Appliance (ZDLRA) for backup, recovery, incremental forever strategies, and real-time redo transport.
- Investigate performance issues utilizing AWR, ASH, ADDM, trace files, logs, and JVM diagnostics (heap, thread dumps).
- Configure and resolve replication challenges between Oracle and MS SQL Server.
- Aid in disaster recovery planning and testing across on-premises, OCI, and hybrid environments.
- Generate operational dashboards, metrics, charts, and trend analyses for capacity and performance evaluation.
- Collaborate closely with infrastructure, networking, cloud, and application development teams.
- Take part in an on-call rotation for production support during evenings and weekends.
